FG40 is an electro-permanent magnet (EPM) designed for aerospace, robotic, and industrial applications. It combines the advantages of electro- and permanent magnets by being able to switch between the on-state and off-state on demand (like an electromagnet); while consuming zero power in either state (like a permanent magnet).
The device supports the following communication interfaces:
- Cyphal/CAN FD control with diagnostic telemetry;
- RCPWM control input (A-suffix models only);
- voltage level control input (A-suffix models only);
For more information, refer to the product home page and the reference manual.
Variants
- FG401M - optimized for cost-sensitive applications.
- FG401MA - for systems without CAN bus; supports RCPWM and voltage level control/feedback.
- FG402M - optimized for mission-critical applications.
